City of Oakville, Parks and Recreation
The Oakville Parks and Recreation Department is committed to providing a diverse range of culture, leisure and open space opportunities, which preserve and enhance the quality of life for present and future generations. We have adopted a community development approach, which enables us to work in partnership with the community to identify and fulfill the needs of individuals and community groups.
We offer recreational programs for all ages including aquatics, fitness programs, skating and special needs.
The Oakville Parks and Recreation Department would like to ensure that
all citizens of Oakville have the opportunity to access recreation and
leisure services and enjoy the many benefits that participation brings.
To help make this possible, financial assistance is available to
qualified applicants for most recreation programs and activities
offered by the Department. Attach verification of income status from
all of the family’s sources of funding including Revenue Canada Customs
and Revenue Agency notice of assessment form (from your income tax
return, government assistance, child support, child tax benefit,
workers compensation, disability insurance, child G.S.T exemption
benefits etc).
For further information, call the Program Supervisor at
845-6601 extension 3155. Programs excluded from Recreation Fund fee
assistance are marked with a [c] and include all aquatic leadership
programs, private swim lessons, synchronized swimming and multiple
season programs.
