Speech and Language

Our speech-language pathologists assess and treat language-based learning disabilities (ie. difficulties with following instructions and lectures in the classroom, taking short but useful notes, remembering details and themes from books, recognizing patterns in formation, writing interesting and effective paragraphs and essays, studying for tests, etc.). We also assess and treat pragmatic difficulties (ie. conversational turn-taking, topic maintenance, facial expression, intonation, language style, etc.).

The Halton Hills Speech Centre provides services to hospitals, nursing homes, schools and daycares as well as within the Centre. The Centre provides presentations and workshops for community groups, daycares and nursing homes.

We provide speech language and communication assessment and treatment for children up to age of 18. Areas covered include articulation, language comprehension and expression and stuttering.
