Workshop: Navigating School Transitions – Preparing for Your Child’s Future
This workshop will focus on helping parents to understand the transition to high school and the transition to a post-secondary institution.
The goal of this workshop is to provide parents and students with information and questions to ask their schools as they prepare for the upcoming changes in their educational journey.
Join us on Thursday May 17th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
Presenter: Jennifer Scott-Penich, B.Sc, B.Ed, OCT
Jennifer is a parent of a child with an LD (Learning Disability), a teacher who works with students with diverse needs and the principal at a small private school in Hamilton known as OnCourse Education. Jennifer has 20 years of teaching experience at the intermediate and senior levels and also has her guidance counselor qualifications. Jennifer has a passion for education and working with student to help them achieve at their full potential.
Who Should Attend? Students with Learning Disabilities, and parents/ caregivers of children with Learning Disabilities. Family members are also welcome.
