Children with a diagnosis of dyslexia, language-based learning disabilities and /or ADHD who need:
- a low teacher to pupil ratio
- need a multi-sensory research based approach
- need a safe and comfortable learning environment with a qualified teacher/tutor
Reading
- Require assistance in phonological awareness, sound symbol recognition, lending, decoding, handwriting, reading fluency or reading comprehensive
Mathematics
- need to improve their basic skills in computation, measurement, fractions, use of money, telling time
Writing
- need instruction in basic grammar, including parts of speech, sentence structure, punctuation, paragraph structure
- children need to be able to read at a grade 3-4 level for the writing tutoring
Children must attend a minimum of 2 hours a week until the end of May 2012.
