What does the LDAO logo mean?

In 1997, LDAO retired its original logo, which was a male and female figure. While these figures were intended to depict no specific age, they were seen by most people as representing children, which was reflective of our origins as the Association for Children with . Just as our name needed to change to include youth and adults, so too did our logo.

From 1997 to 2005, our logo contained text, identifying the name of the organization and a tag line promoting the belief that those with learning disabilities can learn with the right assistance. Combined with the text is a square containing the letters LDAO and a series of uneven lines reflecting the range of learning disabilities and their varying degrees of severity.

Once again, our logo has changed. In attempts to keep the old with the new, the tag line promoting the belief that those with learning disabilities can learn with the right assistance is now merged with a more modern logo.
