ADHD – Looking Beyond Behavior

Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a common neurobiological disorder that can have serious consequences, including school failure, poor relationships, substance abuse, driving accidents and other negative life outcomes. Within the school system, ADHD is often treated as a behavioral problem. Yet, learning problems are intrinsic to ADHD. This presentation will look at ADHD from a learning difficulties perspective and share some of the teaching strategies to improve learning outcomes for students with ADHD.

Presented by Dr. Peter Chaban, Hospital for Sick Children
