Understanding Non-Verbal

This introduction to Nonverbal (NLD or NVLD) will present a brief overview of presenting problems, assessment and diagnostic issues, implications and directions for management. Each individual attending this workshop will have a different experience of NLD, whether as a parent, an educator, a professional or even as someone who has been diagnosed with it.

Dr. Maggie Mamen is a clinical psychologist from Ottawa, Ontario, who specializes in working with children, adolescents and families. She has been interested in learning disabilities for over 30 years, starting at graduate school and is the author of Understanding Nonverbal : A Common Sense Guide for Parents and Professionals.
