Are there children in your classroom for whom phonics makes no sense, who don’t know the sound that matches the letter, who struggle to sound out an unknown word or whose spelling is bizarre?
This workshop is for primary grade teachers, special education teachers, literacy teachers and instructors, pre school resource teachers, and parents.
Speaker
Diane Vandenbossche is a teacher with 29 years of ex- perience at both the elementary and secondary level. Twenty five of those years were spent in special education providing instruction to a variety of exceptional students. She spent two terms at the Ontario Ministry of Education Demonstration School Trillium as the Resource Services Consultant. Her responsibilities included the assessing and recommending of programs and services for struggling stu- dents as well as students already diagnosed with a learning disability.
